Francis E. Willard Elementary School

PZS Architects worked closely with teachers and community representatives to develop a new elementary school, replacing the existing Willard School. The new 130,000 SF facility accommodates 850 students from kindergarten through 8th grade and includes 62 classrooms with special shared rooms for technical education, Family Life Management, a computer lab, science lab, studio art and music, a gymnasium, a 300-seat auditorium, and a cafeteria with a fully equipped commercial kitchen, as well as administrative offices and support spaces. The school is organized around the entry court with an adjacent play area for young children and a large school-yard.
