We designed this 64-unit senior housing facility to maximize the scenic views from a sloping site. An outdoor courtyard was created for residents to enjoy the changing seasons while indoor spaces include a large community room for gatherings and performances, communal kitchens for group cooking, and private living quarters. Each unit includes a bedroom with adjoining bath, kitchen, and living area. Special attention was given to visually reduce the overall scale of the building by modulating various materials such as brick and siding into the building's design.
