Camino De Oro is a 44-unit, approximately 40,860 sf Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) affordable Senior Housing Facility that will link all ages through intergenerational activities. The community room will host workshops and events for the residents and members of the community. This partnership with the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, Temple University School of Medicine, and the Senior Center will offer exercise programs, nutrition workshops, gardening, and other activities.
The utilization of innovative green practices led the building to be certified as a Passive Senior Housing project. Camino De Oro continues the legacy of Paseo Verde, APM’s LEED Platinum mixed-use development.
Our goal with this project was to not only stabilize the local neighborhood, but to build a lasting, secure cultural hub in a previously neglected area. The site design entails affordable rental housing development for seniors, consisting of one multi-family building as well as community space and green infrastructure.
