St. Luke’s Specialty Care Center

Until recently, residents of the counties around Bethlehem, Easton, and Allentown did not have options for quality health care unless they ventured into one of the major cities. St. Luke’s efforts have concentrated on and continue to be directed towards filling the gap in health care services of all types in this area– from Primary Care to Emergency and Specialty services.

This 6,000 square foot facility that now houses the St. Luke’s Specialty Care Center is a renovation/adaptive re-use of a car dealership and repair center and includes an additional building that used to be a karate studio. PZS worked with St. Luke’s to renovate these buildings into a much-needed specialty care center with state-of-the-art equipment and high-quality, durable finishes. An extremely quick turnaround and strict adherence to the project schedule were required here because the doctors and specialists needed to transfer a quickly increasing number of patients from their existing practices to the new larger building without causing appointment delays.

Separating the specialty services from the primary care services allows both standalone facilities to concentrate their efforts on a particular avenue of care. This allows for greater efficiencies and provides patients with programs and facilities dedicated to their individual care needs. In the Specialty Care Center, patients have numerous treatment options and programs, including:
