Esperanza Charter Elementary School

PZS Architects designed a new 70,000 square foot Elementary Academy Charter School located in the Hunting Park neighborhood of Philadelphia that is scheduled to begin construction in 2023. The new three-story school will house 850 elementary school students (grades K-5) along with spaces for Administration.

A state-of-the-art multi-purpose room houses an elementary sized basketball court, which opens up to the adjacent cafeteria to create a larger space for after school events. The corridors throughout the school allow for small break-out spaces for learning and collaboration. The compact site provides space for bus drop-off, some parking, and a playground area.
