PZS Architects designed a state-of-the-art recording studio for the Center for Music Technology at Montgomery County Community College. The 900 SF studio, which had a construction cost of $700,000, includes a control room, an ISO Booth, a sound lock entry, office space, and an equipment closet.
The staff at the Sound Recording and Music Technology program at MCCC have built a program at the College to rival similar programs at four-year colleges nationwide. The goal in developing a top-notch studio such as this was two-fold; first, to be the industry standard for sound and music technology in an educational institution, and second, to draw major recording artists to the facility for recording and production.
Today, the studio is just one of a handful of facilities on the East Coast with the technology, equipment, and features that truly has enough appeal to serve as a destination for major recording artists.
